Hobart accommodation options include traditional college-style accommodation, shared self-contained units and villas.

John Fisher College, Christ College and the University Apartments are all situated at the top of College Road in Sandy Bay. They are located amidst natural bush providing habitat for a range of native fauna. The residences command sweeping views of the City of Hobart, Sandy Bay and the Derwent River, with Hobart's Mount Wellington as an impressive backdrop.

The Sandy Bay campus is:

• a 30-minute walk to Hobart city
• a 15-minute walk to Sandy Bay
• serviced by a regular metropolitan bus service.

A courtesy bus runs between the various university sites (the main campus in Sandy Bay, the School of Arts, the Conservatorium and the Medical School).

Accommodation options include:

• dormitory single rooms (shared kitchen/bathroom)
• limited twin/double rooms
• shared flats (self contained bathroom/kitchen)
• shared apartments (self contained bathroom/kitchen).

Sandy Bay Facilities

Residents have access to:

• table tennis tables
• pool tables
• squash courts (with basketball rings)
• computer labs
• small gym
• barbeques.

Social events are organised frequently at the Hobart campus. The two colleges each have a student club that promote a number of social events for their college.  The team of Residential Support Officers also organise social events for Accommodation Services as a whole: incorporating the university apartments, Christ and John Fisher colleges and Mount Nelson villas.
