Tasmania University Union Housing Scheme – Hobart and Launceston

The TUU Housing Scheme aims to provide students with affordable accommodation in close proximity to the university campuses. Accommodation offered by the scheme generally consists of a room in a shared house with between three to five bedrooms. A number of self-contained one or two bedroom flats are available.

Jane Franklin Hall - Hobart

Established in 1950, Jane Franklin Hall is a fully-catered, traditional residential college. Jane Franklin Hall strives to provide residents with a high quality educational and pastoral context in which to pursue their studies, and is conveniently situated midway between the centre of Hobart and the Hobart campus.

This housing program is offered by Community Based Support South Inc. It is an internationally-recognised program that is now running in Hobart. The program is centred on offering free accommodation to successful applicants in exchange for 10 hours help per week in their assigned household.
